Frequently Asked Questions

What is your fee?

15 minute initial phone consultation: no charge

Follow-up session: $195

Intake session: $225

Limited sliding scale with moderate fees available for those needing financial flexibility. Please inquire to discuss this option.

Do you take insurance?

My practice is out-of-network with commercial insurance carriers. I can provide you with a monthly invoice (“superbill”) so that you can request reimbursement from your insurance, HSA, or FSA.

How much will insurance companies reimburse for out of network care?

I recommend contacting your insurance directly and asking for their reimbursement rates for out-of-network psychologists. Some individuals have reported success using third party systems like Thrizer, Mentaya, or Reimbursify to obtain the best possible reimbursement.

Where can I find free to low cost therapy?

Liberation Institute and Open Path Psychotherapy Collective may be able to provide free to low cost therapy ($0-$70). Therapists may be trainees, meaning not yet licensed and under supervision.

Additionally, AMHC’s Lotus Therapy Fund and Asian Organizers Therapy Fund will grant 8 free therapy sessions to applicable people.

I received an AMHC’s therapy fund. What do I do next?

If you are a recipient of the AMHC’s Lotus Therapy Fund or Asian Organizers Therapy Fund and are seeking a new therapist, please contact me to schedule a phone consultation. Please mention which fund you’ve been awarded.

Schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if we are the right fit at this time. It’s an opportunity to tell me what you’re looking for, learn how I may help, and ask questions. At the end of our consultation, we can discuss next steps.
